About
Hi!
🙋🏽♀️
Ramera is a London-based vocal producer, songwriter, and recording engineer. After years of ABRSM classical music training in piano in Manila, plus additional vocal and drum training, Ramera finished her undergraduate degree in Canada and pursued an Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Production from Abbey Road Institute in London. Upon graduating from the Institute in 2018, she earned an engineering residency at Spotify's Noteable studio, with mentorship from Berklee College of Music. It was there that Ramera dealt with daily studio operations while delving into the world of vocal production and engineering, often having to take on these roles with high profile artists at the studio (Mr. Hudson, JP Cooper, Linnea Sodahl, Greyson Chance).
After her EQL Spotify residency, Ramera became a runner, then an assistant engineer at Metropolis Studios. At Metropolis, she had the pleasure of assisting producers and artists such as Adele, Jess Glynne, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Little Mix, MNEK, Sam Fender, Wizkid, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and Elton John. After her time as an assistant, Ramera progressed into freelance engineering and vocal production, working closely with several label artists as well as independents. One of her more frequent freelance roles is with Platoon, a music distribution and artist services company. Ramera was included in SheSaid. So’s Alternative Power 100 List 2021, is won the Music Producers Guild’s Vocal Producer of the Year Award 2023, and was one of three short-listed nominees for the MPG’s Recording Engineer of the Year 2024. She was also featured in Sound On Sound’s September 2023 and 2024 issues as a changemaker in the music industry, and contributed an article on her vocal production process.
She has been creating vocal arrangements and writing harmonies from a young age, and has been in the professional recording industry for nearly 7 years. Ramera has had the pleasure of working across other amazing studios such as SARM, Dean St. Studios, Salvation Studios, Abbey Road Studios, and Electric Lady in New York. Her most recent work includes vocal and songwriting work on KAMILLE’s singles, “headline” and “freak”, engineering “sustain” by Luz, and vocal producing/engineering “Pain 4 U” by Mya Mehmi.
